Vicki Soper
Vicki has been practicing yoga for more than 35 years and teaching for over 30.
Her yoga journey started with community classes in the early 1980’s planting a seed which later took hold in the form of Ashtanga Vinyasa Yoga taught by Dena Kingsberg near Byron Bay. Vicki’s yoga path has been influenced by Dena, a senior teacher of the Ashtanga method as taught by Sri K Patthabi Jois of Mysore, India. This has been the mainstay of her practice and teaching over the years along with developing an interest in pregnancy yoga then mum and baby yoga.
Over four years she completed the Svastha Yoga of Krishnamacharia Program with Ganesh Mohan which has it’s foundation in classical yoga along with a practical functional approach to the body and mind.
Vicki teaches weekly Ashtanga classes, led (full instruction throughout class) and Mysore style (traditional method with individual guidance).
Her years of practice with it’s daily “sensing in” has developed a kinaesthetic awareness which informs her approach to supporting students on their path of self learning.
